The Younger ‘ Rajini ‘ portion of ‘ Kabali ‘ is So Interesting”
The talk of the town is unarguably Rajinikanth starrer Kabali. We spoke to the editor of the film Praveen about Kabali and its progress.
“The film has come out really well. It is seated in an apt manner, showcasing the journey of a man from his younger years, which every human will relate. Added to that, it will have Rajini’s sir’s charisma and his style factor. You would get to see the right mix of Ranjith’s direction and Rajini sir’s powerful magnetism in the film. Ranjith’s script will be a strong one and his touch will definitely be there. He wanted to approach this film in a way that everyone can identify with the subject and also understand the pain of the central character.
You will see Rajini sir in his younger form in Kabali. The story is linked in such a way so as to show the growth of this don, how he has evolved to be a powerful individual over a period of time. In short, those scenes would be one of the highlights of the film.
DoP Murali has done a wonderful job. Ramalingam, the art director along with Murali has showcased a new Malaysia. We have travelled across Malaysia and Thailand and tried to capture how the place was 30-40 years ago. On the musical front, Santhosh’s work will give a distinct feel to Kabali. He is working in the RR now. There are five songs in the film. Four songs will be part of the film and the other will be an OST. There will be a proper introduction song.
Editing is going on. We are the ones who liaise with all the departments and will have work all the way until the release. We have not locked in yet to confirm about the run time. It should happen soon. Everything is heading in the right direction and we are all excited about Kabali”.
